Winthrop Church (first) holds its first service.
November 30, 1833
The church is located on Union Street. The congregation was established as the Winthrop Society on November 23, 1832 by members of the First Church in Charlestown. It moves to a new church (second) on Green Street in 1849,* merges with the First Parish Church in Charlestown in 1912, and incorporates as the First Church in Charlestown in 1913.
